1. Types of Cancellation

1.1 Subscription Cancellation

You can cancel your active Premium subscription anytime. Access continues until the end of your billing period.

1.2 Account Cancellation

Permanently delete your account and all associated data. This is irreversible.

1.3 Free Trial Cancellation

End your 7-day free trial before it converts to a paid plan. No charges applied.

2. How to Cancel Subscription

2.1 Method 1: In-App (Easiest — 30 seconds)

1. Open ExamCrack AI app
2. Tap Settings (top-right gear icon)
3. Tap Subscription
4. Tap Cancel Subscription
5. Confirm cancellation
6. You'll receive confirmation email within 5 minutes

2.2 Method 2: Website

1. Visit examcrackai.com
2. Sign in with your credentials
3. Go to Dashboard → Billing
4. Click "Cancel Subscription"

2.3 Method 3: Google Play Store (if subscribed via Play)

1. Open Google Play Store
2. Tap profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
3. Tap "ExamCrack AI"
4. Tap "Cancel subscription"
5. Follow prompts

2.4 Method 4: Email

Send cancellation request to cancel@examcrackai.com with:

• Registered email/mobile
• Subscription plan
• Reason for cancellation (optional)

We process within 24 hours.

4. Account Deletion (Permanent)

4.1 How to Delete Account

1. App: Settings → Account → Delete Account
2. Confirm via OTP (security check)
3. Reason for leaving (optional)
4. Final confirmation checkbox
5. Account marked for deletion
6. 30-day grace period (can restore by signing in)
7. Permanent deletion after 30 days

4.2 Data After Deletion

• Personal data: Deleted within 30 days
• Payment records: Retained 7 years (Indian tax law)
• Anonymized usage data: May be retained for analytics
• Legal retention: As required by applicable law

6. What Happens When You Cancel

6.1 Immediate Actions

• ✅ Cancellation confirmation email sent within 5 minutes
• ✅ Auto-renewal disabled
• ✅ No future charges
• ✅ Access continues till end of billing period
• ✅ Data preserved until account deletion

6.2 At End of Billing Period

• Account downgrades to Free plan
• Keep 5 quizzes/day, 1 exam category
• Historical data (progress, streaks) preserved
• Can re-subscribe anytime to regain premium access

7. Cancellation Surveys

We'll ask ONE optional question: "Why are you cancelling?" Your feedback helps us improve. Common responses we act on:

• "Too expensive": We offer student discount (40% off) if eligible
• "Exam over": We offer pause option or downgrade to Free
• "Technical issues": Our team resolves within 24 hours
• "Not using enough": We send tailored study plan to boost engagement

8. Re-Activation After Cancellation

• Come back anytime by re-subscribing
• Your progress and stats are preserved
• Previous referral credits (if any) remain valid
• Student discount (if verified earlier) still applies
• Welcome-back offers occasionally provided to returning users

9. Special Cases

9.1 Payment Failure

If payment fails for renewal:

• 3 retry attempts over 7 days
• Email notifications at each retry
• Service paused after 3rd failure
• Account auto-downgrades to Free after 14 days

9.2 Chargebacks

Filing a chargeback directly with your bank before contacting us results in:

• Immediate account suspension
• Loss of refund eligibility
• Potential permanent ban

Always contact us first — we're fair and fast.

9.3 Force Majeure

In case of natural disasters, war, government actions, or similar events preventing service delivery, we may suspend services without penalty. Users will be notified and refunded appropriately.
